October 1 - October 4

Kindergarten: We continue to practice our mouse and web navigation skills through a variety of online games!!

1st and 2nd Grade:
1.  Practice typing skills using your TYPING PAL account or DANCEMAT typing.
2.  First grade, start learning about Microsoft Word.  Second grade, will learn more tools in Microsoft Word.

3rd Grade :
1.  Finish personalizing your own account. (Dock, desktop, web browser bookmarks)
2.  Use Photobooth and iphoto.
3.  Practice typing skills using your TYPING PAL account.

4th Grade: 
1.  Use TYPING PAL account to practice your typing skills.
2.  Complete assigned activity using MICROSOFT WORD.
3.  If time allows, explore the links below.

September 24 - September 28

Kindergarten: This week you continue to practice your mouse and web navigation skills.  You are all making so much progress using the mouse, keep it up!!

1st and 2nd Grade Links:
1.  Explore the basic tools in Microsoft Word.

2.  Learn how to create a folder on the desktop and save your Word document to the desired location.
3.  Practice your typing skills using Dance Mat Typing as well as your own typing account using Typing Pal.
4.  Explore the activity links from last week.

3rd Grade and 4th Grade:
1.  Finish creating your individual computer account.  (Add bookmarks, personalize your dock, desktop background, screensaver, etc.)

2.  Use PhotoBooth and iPhoto to take and save pictures to assist in personalizing your account.

3.  Use DanceMat typing as well as your own typing account in Typing Pal to practice your typing skills.
4.  Explore activity links from last week. 

September 17 - September 20

Kindergarten:  This week you will continue to practice your mouse and web navigation skills. You will have to scroll to last week's posting to click on the activities!!

1st - 3rd Grade: 
1.  Take the reading Star test.
2.  Practice our typing skills using dance mat typing starting with home row.
3.  Try out game links from last week we didn't have time for, or new ones posted below.

4th Grade :
1.  Finish personalizing the account you created last week on your assigned computer.  You we also create and add bookmarks to the three web browsers we use often in class.

Week 2:  This week we will begin with reviewing items we discussed last week, practice important computer lab routines, complete activities related to the computer vocabulary, and play games that support mouse and web navigation skills.

WELCOME BACK!

Welcome Kindergarten - 4th grade students!  I am so excited for the new school year to start, we are going to have a fabulous year in the Computer Lab!

This week we will:
1.  Discuss Computer Lab Behavior and Expectations.
2.  Learn correct names for the equipment we will use.
3.  Learn about web browsers and applications we will use. 
4.  Get to know each other and the computer lab.
5.  Be assigned a computer you will use for the school year.
6.  Navigate the computer and get to this  McAnally's Macs blog!!!
